Our city council needs to be focused on ensuring all of us in Sweet Home have the opportunity to live, work, and play in a community that respects one another, and focuses on making our city a better place to live....for all of us!
As a small business owner, Angelita knows that the key to success in the community is ensuring people have jobs. That's why it's important as a city councilor to focus on facilitating local job creation, reducing costs associated with new company start-ups, and using our tax dollars in our local community wherever possible.
Now more than ever, rural communities like Sweet Home need to be focused on having a plan to address "big city" issues like homelessness and public safety. Angelita wants to make sure our city council is looking at innovative solutions to address issues like homelessness by examining zoning laws and building codes to ensure housing is affordable. And as a mom and a taxpayer, Angelita believes we must support local law enforcement and focus on community policing to keep our community safe.
As people look to small towns as an alternative to high-cost urban living, we need to ensure Sweet Home has the infrastructure it needs to accommodate future growth. That means ensuring our water systems and local roads can stand up to increased demand, and partnering with our local schools in better community planning. All projects need to give our citizens the best return for their tax dollar and be delivered on time, and on budget.
Our city is surrounded by natural beauty and our small businesses have much to offer. Angelita understands that local tourism can help bolster small businesses and our city's economy.
Our city council should be working to make Sweet Home a place where people want to stop by for a visit, dine in a local restaurant, and shop with local businesses.
