Angelita Sanchez

Lifelong Republican | Seventh Generation Native Oregonian

Real Life, Real Solutions

Angelita Sanchez’s story is one of resilience, faith, and determination. A proud seventh-generation Oregonian and Lifelong Republican, Angelita was raised right here in House District 11 with a deep appreciation for hard work, community, and the rural way of life. Her roots run deep in this valley—her grandfather, Frank Kropf, is remembered as the Father of Ryegrass, a testament to the generations of farmers, loggers, and families who helped shape this land.

When tragedy struck and Angelita lost her husband, her world was shaken. In the midst of heartbreak and grief, she faced an impossible choice: walk away from the trucking business or step forward to carry it on herself. She chose to fight. Learning to drive truck and taking the wheel, Angelita endured long days, heavy financial pressures, and the burden of government regulations that often made success feel out of reach.

Through grit and perseverance, she’s worked tirelessly to keep the business alive, supporting her family while continuing to serve her community. That experience gave Angelita a unique perspective on what many Oregonians face—families trying to keep food on the table while dealing with rising costs, small businesses struggling to survive under red tape, and rural communities too often forgotten by Salem politicians.

Her story is not just about survival—it’s about determination to create a better path forward. Angelita believes that Oregon should be a place where families thrive, businesses grow, and children are given every opportunity to succeed. That’s why she is stepping up to run for State Representative in House District 11.

Angelita’s campaign is rooted in the same values that have guided her life: faith, family, and community. She will fight to protect rural jobs, cut red tape and taxes, improve public safety, and defend parental rights to ensure that local voices are not just heard, but respected in Salem. She's not running on what she will do, she's running on what she has already done.

Angelita is passionate about standing up for the place she calls home—its farms, its forests, and the people who make up its close-knit communities. Her journey has taught her that strength comes not from avoiding hardship, but from facing it head-on—and Angelita is ready to bring that strength to the Oregon Capitol on behalf of our community.
